The End Of Summer

leica, landscape, farm, nature

Cool morning fog rolling rolling in, leaves starting to fall…it can only mean one thing…end of summer. Yeah yeah, Fall starts in September, but it still feels like Summer if the weather stays hot. This was the first morning I had to put on a jacket again. Goodbye Summer!

I also want to make a statement about trusting your inner voice. I was driving to a different location, saw this scene, pulled over, and shot this image. I shot a panoramic version immediately afterwards. I then continued to shoot some variations until the sun and clouds changed a few minutes later.

Upon review, I found the first two images I made where exactly what I wanted. Then rest didn’t have the impact or convey the message I felt originally. This was the image I pulled over for and I got it first. I find the excitement and intuition telling me that this is a shot to make often winds up in the first shot. When you get that feeling about a scene, ask yourself what you love about it. What made you stop and look. Compose it, shoot it, then play with variations and see what else is there.

My Friday photo posts are designed to be an outlet for images I create for myself outside of my usual work. I encourage people to really play and experiment and do something different in their creative art regularly. You can follow my twitter for more fun images throughout the week.
