Some initial thoughts on the OM-1

I seem to have been in the lucky window and received my OM-1 on March 3rd.  So I have had some time to really go through it.  While everyone has had so much time to go over all the crazy performance features…we’ve seen review after review saying all the same stuff… I’ve focused elsewhere.  On what makes the camera a better tool than the previous generation.  I’m getting together a post about this to come in about a week.  I figure I can share some initial thoughts now.

The camera is strangely everything we know and love about Olympus…yet it’s different.  Different good mostly.  I also just finally received my battery charger.  More on that later too!  Also…I think my new favorite lens is the 20mm Pro.  That and the OM-1 is a sweet combination.  A review on that lens will come soon too.  It’s been a long winter and I need to do more personal shooting.

In the mean time I’ve been busy updating a lot of the pages on this site.  When OMDS took over, a lot of the original links for Olympus site content broke.  So…working on updating and repointing items that are relevant.  More to come!
