A video came up on Youtube from The Phoblographer that shows him basically running an E-M1.3 under a sink faucet for several minutes. Impressive. Especially considering the force of the water and the volume at that distance is most likely far more than the IPX rating implies. I don’t recommend people try this at home…but hey…impressive!
The water starts at 2:31.
I know I generally am rather careful with my equipment, maintain it, clean it, and try to avoid drops. However, when I am shooting for clients, it’s the data that matters first and then all else. So my cameras have been in snow, in rain, have gotten heavily splashed with salt water, hot sun all day, etc… I have to say i’ve never once had to think about my Olympus gear.
