Self isolating… in nature?

I luckily have a local pond that I can visit.  I can’t imagine what I would do if I was holed up deep in a city.  I’m close enough, but still have some form of nature around here.  No worries of people or anything despite the lockdown in effect.  (Yeah Covid-19 still going on in the world)  Anyways, I thought I would share some hand held high res shots I took on a quick walk.

These are all with the 40-150R.  The consumer lens on a E-M1.3.  All of these were processed with my High Res presets.  You can click on that lens link to see my review of it as well.  I love that I can grab even a lower end lens and get very great results.  I don’t HAVE to lug the big lenses for a quick walk.  I don’t need to bring the best, but I can still achieve very excellent outcomes.  That is quite liberating.

Meanwhile, I finally got my own copy of the 17mm Pro.  I might have mentioned that in another post.  I got that last month with the mkIII.  I just have to say… I love this lens.  If you haven’t caught my review of it, you can see it here.  I find I love it for video, and I just love it as a normal lens.  Something to use for general shooting.  I liked it before, but the more I use it, wow, the more it really grows on me as a spectacular lens.  And it’s so good up close.  More to come on this lens in the coming months.
