40-150 Pro, 8mm Fisheye, 300mm Pro lens firmware updates!

Olympus has announced a firmware update for the 40-150 Pro, 8mm Fisheye, 300mm Pro lenses.

The 40-150mm gets the following:

-Stability of lens aperture when shooting videos has been improved.
-MF shooting operations have been improved.
-Enhanced stability of AF operation when shooting video
-Improved AF operation when using the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 1.4x Teleconverter MC-14.
-Enhanced stability of sequential shooting when using the E-M1 Mark II.

The 300mm gets:
-Improved AF operation.
-MF shooting operations have been improved.
-Enhanced stability of operation when shooting video.
-Enhanced stability of sequential shooting when using the E-M1 Mark II.
-Improved image stabilization accuracy when using the E-M1 Mark II.

The fisheye gets:

-Improved stability of C-AF operation for sequential shooting with H.

Honestly i’ve never had the need for C-AF in H mode with a Fisheye… that would certainly be a unique scenario.  Nice to see lens improvements coming based on their latest tech and camera abilities.

You can see a list of updates on their Asian based site here.  Its in a more convenient page than the American based site in my opinion.

Basic method is connect the lens to your camera, connect the camera to your computer, launch the Olympus updater and hit update on your lens selection on the screen!  Quick and easy.  If you have never done it, I recommend following the directions on the Olympus Firmware update instructions site!
