Finally.

Ok I got that out my system.

Here is the link!  Olympus Pro Service

So I think this is an EXCELLENT value.  It is a lot cheaper than the higher Canon CPS levels too.  Not too bad.  Honestly, this is great even for non professionals.  If you heavily use your equipment, do a lot of travel, or are in the field for personal work a lot, this makes a lot of sense.  Stuff happens.  I have used Olympus service numerous times.  I have broken gear numerous times.  It just happens.  Happens more so when you do this for a living too.  Assistants knock stuff over, you are busy multitasking and a tripod falls, or a camera bag wasn’t fully closed and a lens slips out… whatever.  It happens.  What I can’t afford is down time.  For a small price to be up and running quickly and know that I have priority in the repair line, I am all for it!

Olympus has proven their cameras are up to the task, and with the coming E-M1mkII, I think a lot more people will be willing to give their cameras a chance as main cameras in a paid arena.  Having a Pro Service Program will give a lot of people peace of mind, and an incentive to make the move.

The only catch, like most premium service programs is you need to have a minimum amount of stuff.  Canon places a point system on equipment and each service level has a minimum required number of points.  Olympus is make it a bit easier.  2 bodies and 3 lenses.  Whichever ones from the premium lenses (25 F/1.8, 75 F/1.8, etc…) or the Pro lens line.  The bodies can be any ones from the E-M5, Pen F, E-M1, and all successors or future models in that range.  Not bad.

Anyways, I know I will be first in line to sign up.  Who else is with me?
