Full moon with Olympus E-Pm1 & 2000mm!

I am a big astrophotography fan, so any time I have a chance I love trying new equipment pointed towards the sky. When you have a Micro Four thirds camera you need to embrace the 2x crop factor versus constantly agonize over it. I took this shot of the moon with an old Tokina OM mount 500mm F8 mirror lens. I used an old Tokina 2x doubler and an OM to M4/3 adapter. This gave me the equivalent field of view of 2000mm on the E-pm1! Crazy! The resolution isn’t that great, but shooting at 2000mm is great to laughs here and there. I suggest everyone try it at least once! Composing at 2000mm is a lot harder than it would seem at first!

My Friday photo posts are designed to be an outlet for images I create for myself outside of my usual work. I encourage people to really play and experiment and do something different in their creative art regularly. You can follow my twitter for more fun images throughout the week.
