Fun Friday Photo! DC Pano!

DC Pano of Monuments with Leica M8

When you live in the Washington DC area there is no escaping the “Monument Tour” when you have visiting friends and family. Unfortunately everything is really spread out and requires a huge amount of walking. When my family decided they wanted a photo with all the monuments…but decided walking on a hot day is out we did the next best thing…panorama!

So this image doesn’t have ALL the monuments of course, but it had the Washington Monument and the Capital, and the Smithsonian. That sums up DC pretty well. Politicians, presidents, and stuff from all over the world!

I shot this hand-held with a Leica M8 and 35mm lens. The nodal point on a Leica is close to the body that you can get a decent stitch if keep the foreground several feet away. Click on the image to see a larger version.

Also, the last couple weeks have been swamped with a lot of upcoming announcements and projects. I have a bunch of reviews lined up as well! I will do my best to keep up with my posts with travels and projects taking up so much time! I am hoping to get those rolling steady again within two weeks! Thanks for your support! I appreciate you all who have been visiting regularly here, and Ancient City.
