I have been a daily user of Think Tank Photo bags for years. I’ve done reviews of some, and I know there will be plenty more to come. I probably own two dozen different ones. I have recently started using their sister company, Mindshift Gear’s bags too. Mindshift Gear is basically Think Tank… but focused on the landscape and hiking photographer specifically. And they make great stuff. I have some reviews of their gear coming. I have been using a couple of their products and it has completely changed the way I work in the field. Love it.
They recently announced a super light weight camera backpack. I felt you should know because our gear just doesn’t need a big bag. Sometimes you just want a grab and go bag that you don’t know is on. Super light weight that carries your kit well, and other stuff. Maybe two lenses and a body, lunch, a sweater, an ipad and off you go. No sore backs, or bulky huge pack knocking into everyone on the subway. Just a sleek little pack that gets the job done. Perfect for a day in the city, or at an amusement park, etc… The bag is only 1.6 pounds! Doesn’t weigh anything practically considering most camera bags are 3 – 5lbs starting. Check out their site, you have some great configurations possible, despite the small size.
I don’t currently own one yet, and I am not paid or endorsed by them, or anyone, but I really believe in their products and look forward to trying it myself. Best part…. $99. What was the last item you bought in photography that was $99? Really now. Especially good camera bags.
Drop me a line if you get one and let me know what you think. I’ll pick one up eventually i’m sure. When I do I’ll be sure to post a review.
The pictures are from the Mindshift Site… please go check them out. Watch the video too!

Lowepro makes the exact same bag, but less expensive.
Yes I own that one… it’s similar…each company approaches the pockets a little differently.
