So this is my first frame shooting film in a LONG time. I love shooting with film…I do not love the darkroom. I have since moved to a completely digital workflow for my clients, as well as my personal work. Sometimes I just get the urge to spend a few days with film. It’s like we don’t want to let go! I have been experimenting with Kodak’s new Portra film that is designed for scanning. I will have an interesting comparison between that and the latest full frame sensors soon. This frame however was shot on Ilford black & white film. The contrast and sharpness is “as shot.” I was using an old Olympus OM4 and a 50 1.4 lens. That is a surprisingly enjoyable camera to shoot with. For an old camera, it’s built in meter is wonderful!
The Porsche badge pictured above is just about as old as the camera. I guess this isn’t considered vintage just yet…

My Friday photo posts are designed to be an outlet for images I create for myself outside of my usual work. I encourage people to really play and experiment and do something different in their creative art regularly. You can follow my twitter for more fun images throughout the week.
